Bone graft in implantology

When there is not enough bone to insert the implants.

Implant restoration is the best alternative to eliminate tooth gaps without damaging healthy teeth. They are an excellent basis for implant-based dentures. The implantologist must first check that the bone (or more precisely the jawbone) is suitable for implant placement. If the implant is not suitable for insertion due to bone loss from the jaw, your dentist may recommend a bone replacement.

In general, a good soil and foundation – that is, bone – must be created for the implant if it is not available originally. Your dentist can widen or lengthen your bone in different regions.

  • Sinus-lift: in the upper jawbone
  • Basic bone replacement: almost everywhere
  • Bone graft with titanium screws: mostly in the lower jawbone
