Do you have a cavity in your tooth? The solution is fillings.
In the case where caries has not yet damaged the dental material to such an extent or depth that it would require the embedding of crown bridges, filling therapy is recommended. In this case, smaller or larger holes are formed in the tooth material.
In cases where the decay has not yet damaged the tooth substance to such an extent or depth that it would require the implantation of crowns or bridges, filling therapy is recommended. In such cases, smaller or larger holes are created in the tooth substance.
These holes need to be filled as quickly as possible to prevent further bacteria and other organisms from entering, which can lead to further disease of the tooth. Nowadays, almost all dentists use so-called “composite” materials for fillings.
These materials are much more aesthetically pleasing than older amalgams. Plastic or composite fillings are relatively wear-resistant, aesthetic, and load-bearing, with an acceptable lifespan.
Your dentist, Dr. Visegrády, will be happy to advise you in this area of dentistry as well.
The process of filling therapy is illustrated below.
